This tea is made from the small-leaf varietal (C. Sinensis) instead of the traditional large-leaf varietal (Var. Assamica) using the Four Seasons Spring varietal. The popularity of small-leaf black teas has increased to generate economic value during summer which was normally "fallow period" for tea picking and production due to the heat in Taiwan.
