Pottery Classes at Green Road Pottery

Brook has been teaching pottery to adults and kids for more than 25 years.  He will show you how to make pottery starting with a lump of clay and ending with a finished kitchen safe pot.

We offer many different opportunities from our convenient location on Main Street in Stoughton.  We are handicap accessible.

• 100% success handbuilding projects for everyone (younger than 8 must have an accompanying adult)
• Start with a ball of clay and end with your masterpiece
• Past classes were, make a bowl, cup, mug, fish, gnome, troll, elf, platypus, snail, ghost, skull, pumpkin, flower pot, ornament, and more…

• All classes are 30 minutes

Group Pottery Classes

• Gather your group of 2-8 students (younger than 8 must have an accompanying adult)
• Classes can be 1 hour or 2 hours
• Choose what you would like to make (some options listed above)
• Schedule a time
• Options for groups like Girls Night Out, birthdays, or family gatherings
• 1 hour classes - $35 (1-2 finished pieces)
• 2 hour classes - $50 (2-3 finished pieces)
• Discounts available for families of 4 or more.

Wheel Pottery Classes

• 6 sessions for 1 1/2 hours each session
• Learn to use the wheel, no experience necessary
• Options for an evening class or during regular business hours
• Learn handbuilding too!  You don’t have to use the wheel
• Evening class run 3-4 times a year
• Regular business hour session can be scheduled individually
• Extra time to work at no additional cost
• All materials included
• $270

 Open Studio

• After taking 1 class, some students will have enough skills to sign up for Open Studio
• Use the studio space anytime the shop is open including 2 extended hours times of 5-8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Studio time is scheduled and is Not Drop In
• Not all evening time slots will be available (max 5 in the studio)
• Monthly $60 or Yearly $600
• Materials $60 per ware board of finished work (anywhere from 18 mugs to 2 large bowls)

Create Your Own Class

• Do you have a specific item you want to make?
• Do you have a time schedule that makes to others classes hard?
• You can create your own class
• Wheel class are best with 3 sessions, but short is possible too
• In general (including materials and firing)
  1 hour - $35 (simple projects)
  2 hours - $50 (simple projects)
  3-6 hours (multiple session class) - $35 per hour
  7+ hours - $30 per hour
• Discounts available for family classes
