Dark and full-bodied 2nd Flush Darjeeling from 2020. A strong cup, but little astringency and a slight chocolate tone underneath. Sweet and woodsy in the aftertaste. A perfect everyday tea. Darjeelings are known as the “Champagne of Teas” and are prized for their fresh taste and delicate nuances of flavor with some astringency. 2nd flush Darjeelings tend to have a little more body and more pronounced muscatel notes (dark fruits like grapes and raisins).
