Green Tea Soda

Tea Sodas are becoming more and more popular as a refreshing and healthy alternative to typical soft drinks, you can even find them in cans in the grocery store now. But why buy it when it's so easy to make at home with very minimal ingredients? Green tea sodas still contain all of the healthy goodness of the tea plus some added vitamins with the added fruit and antioxidants from the honey.

Recipe

Ingredients:
• 8 Tablespoons green tea (I use Jade Cloud or Wild Thai, but you favorite green tea is fine!)
• 4 cups boiling water
• 3 Tablespoons honey
• 4 cups assorted fruit of your choosing (Clemintines, lemon, limes, berries, cantaloupe, watermelon, etc)
• 1 liter unflavored seltzer water (chilled)
• Fresh mint (optional)

Directions:
1 - Add your tea to your boiling water and let steep for 3-5 minutes
2 - Strain your tea and add the honey to the tea while it's still hot
3 - Cover and chill in the refrigerator until cold
4 - While you're waiting for your tea to chill you can cut up your fruit
5 - Divide the chilled tea into 12 ounce glasses about halfway full.
6 - Add fruit to each glass and fill with the seltzer water
7 - garnish with fresh mint if you desire
Or if you are hosting a brunch, shower, cook-out etc, you could leave the fruit and mint out and let your guests make their own combinations!
