Chocolate Syrup

Deliciously creamy chocolate syrup using only natural, organic ingredients. We use this syrup in our hot chocolate, chilled chocolate, chocolate cream soda and chocolate chai latte. We're sure you'll find many uses for it too, especially when you find out how easy it is to make!

Recipe

Ingredients to make 16oz of syrup:
• 1 cup Yahara Natural Cocoa Powder
• 1 cup Yahara Raw Panela Cane Sugar
• 1 1/4 cup boiling water (divided)

Directions:
• In a large bowl combine the cocoa powder and sugar then whisk together breaking up any clumps.
• Add 1 cup of the boiling water and gently stir with a spatula just in make sure the water is dispersed. Wait about a minute to allow the cocoa and sugar to start to melt.
• Whisk together until everything is dissolved and there are minimal clumps.
• Press through a fine stainer into another bowl
• Pour the remaining 1/4 cup boiling water over whatever clumps are left in the strainer into the bowl with the syrup.
• Mix together and strain one more time to be sure there are no clumps.
• Let cool then put into a jar or squirt bottle and refrigerate.
